Equipment Technician - Mechanic

Midwest Construction Rentals is a locally owned and operated business with a rewarding and modern atmosphere.
We are looking for an experienced Equipment Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of equipment, including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team to ensure that all equipment is functioning properly and efficiently. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to join a growing company and gain valuable experience in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions.
Perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
Repair and replace defective parts.
Test and calibrate equipment to ensure proper operation.
Maintain records of maintenance and repair activities.
The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable about all aspects of repair and maintenance work associated with small and heavy construction equipment
Small engine repair experience is a plus, such as two cycle
Electric over hydraulic experience wanted
Must have a valid driver's license. CDL class is preferred
Family owned company with great staff to work with
Must have own tools
Must be able to preform heavy labor & have physical mobility for required mechanical tasks
Must be an experienced technician with 3-5 years or technical school degree
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.50 - $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week

Job description
Yard main duties are loading and unloading equipment and supplies as customers arrive. Maintaining immediate equipment conditions such as pressure washing, greasing and checking fluids. Organizing equipment as it leaves and returns from drivers within Midwest Construction Rentals. Ensuring the following days reserved equipment is ready for rent.
Various shop maintenance may be asked to be performed.
Small equipment parts replacement will be asked of.
Delivering equipment is required when other staff is too busy to fulfill orders.
Highschool diploma or equivalent is required.
A valid Drivers license is required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.50 - $22.50 per hour
